Explored the Beautiful Islands in the Northern part of Cebu!

I always love going back to Cebu, for it doesn't just take pride on its sumptuous delicacies, but it's also one of the top destinations here in the Philippines. So I recently made a trip on the northern part of it! This happened last April 3-6, 2015.

MALAPASCUA

Supposedly, the highlight of my travel would be to try scuba diving in this island. I was really hoping to see some thresher sharks but unfortunately, only those professional licensed scuba divers were allowed on that certain sea level. They advised me to try fun dive instead for 3,500php at 15 meters deep. I realized that it's no longer practical to try it at that certain sea deep level so I just tried the island hopping. Though there are this sudden change of plan, for me it still went well. :)

KALANGGAMAN
Whenever tourists goes to Malapascua, it's always an optional to make a side trip to the Kalanggaman Island. They have a daily boat trip from Malapascua to Kalanggaman which would usually took 2 hours to travel. This famous white beach island take pride on its crystal clear water, white powdery and long sand bars stretching on both sides of it. I like how the municipality of Palompon, Leyte maintains its natural beauty and tranquility of the island. Just be reminded that there are no resorts in the island but you can bring your tent if you're planning to go on an overnight trip.

BANTAYAN AND VIRGIN ISLAND
It was Easter Sunday when I went here so apparently, I got somehow surprised to see how crowded this place was! and of course, it's a lesson learned to have researched thoroughly the place on where to stay cheaper as I was duped by some tricycle driver who told me that rooms from the hotels are almost twice the price because it's peak season so he brought me to someone he knows who has a house for rent for 1,500php! But when I was biking around the island I saw some hotels which offered rooms as low as 900php! Oh well, charged it to experience as they say. The best place of this trip was when I went on a side trip to Virgin Island! :)

CAMOTES ISLAND
This is the best part of my trip! the place was very peaceful and has lots of tourist spots! from caving to island hopping. I couldn't even think of words to describe how I admire the beauty of this place so I'll just let you be the judge from these taken photos. :)

  6. Hi, quick question: Why didn't you go straight to Kalanggaman from Cebu? Why did you just make it a day trip? I was thinking kasi to overnight in Kalanggaman and take a boat the next day to Malapascua. I heard Kalanggaman has a beautiful sunrise so I'm interested in catching that. Is it possible to just take a one way boat from Kalanggaman to Malapascua?
